Pomeranian Foxiee ![]() "Lady in Pink"
Foxiee never had a puppy shed or a yearly shed. She was purchased as a pet Pom, so she was spayed when she was a year old.
Each year her hair had always grown back until she was 4 years old.
This time it did not grow back. She was tested for mites (negativ), Cushings (negativ) and Thyroid. Her thyroid was low, so she was put on Thyrozine 1 mg twice per day. She has been on this medicine for a year now and her hair has still not grown back.
She was able to play outside without her hair and her skin remained pink. Which we now know is because she is not a clear orange (she has white whiskers and a brown nose) and can not produce black pigment. She now has heat strokes and seizures when in the heat and can not go outside anymore. She also has to wear clothes to keep her warm during the low temp days.
